Head of Department Profile
DR. ADEKUNLE A. AINA, was appointed the Acting- Head of Department and he resumed office on the 1st August 2020. He has previously served as Acting-Head of Department of Private and Property Law from October 2007 to November 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree LLB,(Hons), and Master of Laws ( LL.M) degree from the University of Lagos and Ph.D Law from University of Ibadan. He has attended conferences locally and internationally. He taught the Law of Banking, Land Law, Law of Business Association etc. His core areas of specialisation are Comparative Company Law, Civil Litigation, Property Law and Corporate Governance. He currently teaches both at the Post -Graduate and Undergraduate levels. He has successfully supervised four Ph.D candidates . He has written over 45 papers published in reputable journals both local and internationally. He has also written four books, Land law, Company Law , Court and Administration of Criminal Justice and Nigerian Police Law. He was awarded a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Center For Comparative Law in Africa Cape Town University , South –Africa in 2017.
