You are welcome to the webpage of Department of Private and Property Law, Faculty of Law, University of Ibadan, Ibadan. The Department of Private and Business Law is one of the two Departments that make up the Faculty of Law, University of Ibadan.

The Department has qualified staff at the academic and non-academic level.  The Department offers courses at both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.  Our curriculum is constantly reviewed and updated to ensure that the Department connects with contemporary developments and needs at the international legal arena.

Courses available in the Department, at undergraduate include the:

Law of Contract, Law of commercial transactions, Law of Equity and Trust, Law of Tort, Family Law, Land Law, Law of Business Association, Law of Banking and Insurance, Revenue Law, Labour Law and Law of Succession.

At Post Graduate Level, the Department offers to students:

Comparative Family Law, Comparative Company Law, Comparative Copyright law, Comparative Law of Labour and Industrial Relation and Law of Secured Credit Transactions.
